Project Description
Low Density Polyethylene
Low Density Polyethylene has a good chemical and electrical resistance, but it has a high thermal expansion and tends to fail under mechanical and thermal stress. It is usually used for assembling different compartments, dispensing bottles, washing bottles, tubing, plastic bags for computer components, also, different formed research focus gears. It is utilized most regularly in plastic packs.
Compared to High Density Polyethylene, Low Density Polyethylene is more resilient with less tensile strength. That is, LDPE is more pliable but less strong. It also has excellent resistance to alcohol, acids, bases and esters. Has good resistance to aldehydes, ketones, and vegetable oils. Although LDPE and HDPE share similar uses such as packaging. LDPE and HDPE typically cause them to be collected separately for recycling.
